Reedeemed a game code on the wrong email profile

Hi,

My 14 year old son made a simple mistake while setting up a new Xbox Console for a friend. He had forgotton when showing them some stuff he was logged in and not the person who should have been. Once we logged into the correct account it correctly stated
we had already redeemed the game. I contacted Xbox support on 13/10/18 and spoke to two an officer and supervisor. I was quite frustrated that a simply mistake was unable to be fixed. I spent a long time on the phone and the only option the supervisor could
suggest is contact Studio 10 who makes the game. Now this seems quite silly. I'm sure my son is not the first person to do this. We did have a suggestion (work around) of game sharing but the boy is only 8 and this only works if your playing online. He
is not playing games online nor was this an acceptable fix. Can somone at Microsoft pleasee help us? My son feels bad he did this. Our friends have a free 1 month trail of the gaming pass so no issue playing Horizon 4 at this stage. Could my son get a
refund or can we switch the game to the righful owner? I just can't believe my son is the only one to have made this mistake and Microsoft don't have a easy fix for it? Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

reedem code for tomb raider

i just reedemed a code for tomb raider but cant find the game anywhere in my games!!

Dont know where else to look when i tried to enter the code again it says code has already been reedeemed!!

Please help

1. I bought a $15 redeemable card

2. Reedeemed code

3. Trying to apply it to the $9.99 1 month membership

4. Keeps asking for billing info?

5. Any ideas on what I can do?

I understand it was a mistake, they do happen. Thing is that unfortunately there really isn't a way to be able to remove the game from the account and put it on another, nor is it possible to refund that from the account.

I know it's not the best thing to hear but here on the forums we can't really do much in regards to it. If anything the best bet is to contact Live Support.

no thanks,pick the category (Games)and just pick a contact method
(request a call from support or Chat is faster).

I was told nothing could be done and to contact manufacturers of the software game Forza 4 which is Studio 10.

 

You need Xbox Support to handle that problem is my best advice...

Thanks for reaching out and keeping us updated! Unfortunately since the game was a code used, they would not be able to assist with the entitlement change. Since our Customer Support team was unable to move the entitlement for the game, the best thing to
do is set up the home console and share the game. We understand this is not ideal and that it was an accident but especially on forums, we do not have access to account or purchases.
