Reduced download speed and NAT issues after update.

So, since the last dashboard update I've been seeing a ~50% drop in the download speed of my xbox's. We have a bad connection at 1.5MB....yes, 1.5 DSL is all that is available until the fiber is installed. Anyways. detailed analysis reads .84 to 1.05
after the update on both of our xbox one's. One is wired to the modem, the other is on wireless. In addition, Win10 desktop on Wireless read .84 as well, but a 8 year old Laptop on Wireless with Vista reads 1.45 (same distance from modem as well). The modem
reads the speed at a consistent 1.77. After hard restarts, modem internal reset and such... nothing changed. My thought turns to the update last week and the Xbox's close relationship with Win10 OS.

Is there something in the update that may be causing the download speeds to drop on the Xbox's and concurrent Win10 system?

    :)

    Xbox one connection slow

The reduced speed could be because you now have multiple consoles on the network. Either way, 24Mbps down is easily enough to play a multiplayer game, so it would be more about your NAT (how easily you connect to others, which would now also be affected
by having multiple consoles) and ping (distance to server) than the actual download speed.

There was nothing in the update that would throttle your speeds.

You just have bad internet. Period.

Yes, the net is bad. But that does nothing to explain WHY the speed on the xbox's dropped after the update was installed, why the Win10 dropped after update (apparently had one last week as well), and the vista remains unchanged. Bad internet would affect
all devices equally on a speed test that is being sent to the same destination. And just now, testing on a clean signal both confirmed by modem and laptop, xbox is showing as low as 0 download and again at best .82. There was a brief period where content
usage was not available from Xbox, at that time speed on the box showed 1.05. So it can't be the connection itself that's fluctuating because the modem history shows no drops during that time, it has to be in the systems.

So, talked to an IT expert, he suggested to try resetting the DNS of the devices that are showing slow speeds. So for the Win10 Desktop, went in a "forgot" the wireless network and then reconnected, cleared the speed up perfectly, now reading at full strength.
Now how do you do that with an Xbox One? Both are still showing a nearly 50% loss in download speed with upload being unaffected. Laptop shows full speed, modem reads full speed, and even our phones show full speed off the modem. Or is it a possible issue
with Live at this point. Should note, was running an active ping and kept the modem open while I ran a detailed analysis on the xbox. Neither the modem or ping showed any signs of a drop but the xbox kept coming up with different numbers.

if you haven't already, clear your console's system cache, along with your console's IP configuration, and lastly, setup a wireless network on your console.

However, I would recommend that you connect your console with an Ethernet cable instead.
