"reduce all other sounds" option does not work

Discus and support "reduce all other sounds" option does not work in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; The "reduce all other sounds" option does not reduce game sound when in a party chat.     "reduce all other sounds" option does not work


    The "reduce all other sounds" option does not reduce game sound when in a party chat. I also tried "mute every other sounds", still does not work. I have a steelserie artic 9x headset and I also tried with the wired Xbox headset and I get the same problem with both of them. Also tried to reset my xbox, same thing. The option is located in Settings -> General -> Volume & audio output -> Volume option -> Chat mixer

    I went to Chat Mixer and instead found 4 options. Off, Reduce other sounds by 80%, reduce other sounds by 50%, and finally no changes. Which one do I do?

    Thank you for the indepth explanation of where to find it but it has been on the same option all the time "Reduce the volume of other sounds by 50%" and I still have no idea what is wrong. Although it may be a setting changed on the 1st profile so I will check that then also.

    Yes I have. I am using a wireless headset, and for some odd reason, there is no slider for wireless headset. The only options I get for chat mixer are Reduce Volume of other sound by 80% or 50% I've tried them both but they don't seem to do much at all.

    Go to settings and go down to display and sounds and go to volume and go to chat mixer and reduce the volume of others by 50% it should work i had the same problem
