Redownloaded Profile - Gamertag changed itself!

I've just switched my Xbox on and it "disconnected from Xbox LIVE", then a pop up told me I cannot use my profile online on this console and need to download it again. After entering my Microsoft account it said it was downloading the profile ""
... 'WHAT?' I said. My Gamertag is, and has been for over 3 years, "Syphilisopoulos". Why upon redownloading my profile have I been given the type of generic Gamertag people with no imagination would choose from the gamertag suggestions list? I've already
chatted with Xbox support who said they cannot find any reason or trace as to why my gamertag was changed automatically. My avatar, friends list and game data has carried over fine, but for some reason not my original Gamertag "Syphilisopoulos".

Gamertag doesn't appear to change in Party Chat.

I changed my gamertag a month ago, and it still has my old one on the party chat. I deleted my profile, and redownloaded it thinking this my force a profile update, but this did not work either.

That's because they are not the enforcement team

They do not have access nor can they overturn enforcement team actions

However you reAlly can't see the issue with the gamer tag ?

I suggest you read the terms of use its pretty clear on what you can or cannot use

You need to post here for the exact reason and there is no appeal you can only inquire about it

They told me to post on this thread so the Enforcement Team can help. There has never been an issue with that Gamertag before. I've held it since 2011 on Xbox and many other platforms. Only today the Gamertag was changed automatically. If it violated terms
of use and had to change my Gamertag then I surely have the option of choosing one for myself, not get given a generic one and be made to pay the charge of changing a Gamertag

 

it stays the same as Long as it is nor reported for Violation, somebody recently noticed and did so, else you would have kept it. there is no automated System behind it as People get tricky for hiding invalid names in some cases.

you may not Chose a new Name other by paying a fee.

enforcement Team only reads their specific part of the Forums, like posted above.

Don't talk about diseases you can offend someone quite easily

What isn't offencive to you could be to others

Remember it is not how you see your name but how others see it

On other services you can't change your name

It is only a matter of time

Your gamer tag has a sexual innuendo as it is a STD. So you violated the Terms of Service and that Code of Conduct. Your gamertag was reported the Enforcement team found that it violated the rules and as such you have a Forced Name Change. You have two
options; 1. keep your current name that it was changed to or 2. Pay to have your name changed. Note that multiple forced name changes can result in a ban on your account. The Enforcement Team does not read these forums and their are no appeals for a name
change.

 

Samething happen to me it went from just1n69696969 to what it is now like come on it's just a number

 

either you used a different email or your gamertag was reported and changed by enforcement Team

for future reference please create your own thread instead of using older ones
