Redemeed and Installed Ace Combat 6 - Do you own this game or app?

Hi,

I'm reposting this as it seems this needs to be another topic entirely from the 'other' issues with Ace Combat 6.

Here goes:

I pre-ordered Ace Combat 7 Deluxe Edition and got my download code for Ace Combat 6 yesterday. I was able to redeem the code and i initially couldn't find it. I restarted my console and it showed up in my Ready to Install list.

I went ahead and downloaded it but couldn't launch the game as I had work. So i came home from work the next day to try launching AC6 but I got the prompt "Do you own this game or app?"

I obviously was confused for a moment and uninstalled the game and reinstalled it only to get the same error. Now, my bandwith is unlimited and is pretty fast so I could afford to re-download it multiple times just in case.

Getting more annoyed, i went online to check for any issues and fixes so I did several things such as resetting my console, removing my profile and adding it again, etc. I checked my Order History and my redemption of AC6 wasn't there so I pulled up a chat
with suppport.

We tried all of the troubleshooting steps they provided and then some but we still couldn't get it to work. It was then that i found the post in here about other users experiencing my exact same problem.

The question now is, what is MS going to do about it? Is it a license issue because AC6 and the like were pulled from the Marketplace years ago? This is the first real problem i ever encountered and have pretty much exhausted all steps.

FYI's in case anyone asks:

Do you have more than one profile on your console: No. I just have what I'm using and I have not added any other accounts.

Do you have other accounts: Yes, but like i said, that account is loaded on another console, that my account in question is gamesharing with. Take note that i have not signed into my account again on the other console in almost a year.

Is the game in you ready to install list: yes!

It's not showing up in your order history: i know and that is what worries me.

Another thing to take note of is that they are saying that another account redeemed it but can't tell me the name of the account which is impossible because i have only one profile loaded on my system.

So if we can collate and report this, that would be great.

Yeah im having the same issue. wen thru Microsoft Support 3xs and nothing. I went thru all the TroubleShooters and nothing. Hopefully they fix this as soon as possible

Some users, when they downloaded the Ace Combat 6 game, actually downloaded two different versions of it with different file sizes.

This may be an issue with the game from the servers.

Otherwise, Games with gold does NOT share to backwards compatibility games such as xbox 360 games on xbox one. That could be the reason for this problem. Make sure the account you're logged into has gold:

Other solutions involve turning off your console and unplugging it for 30 seconds to clear cache.

As XBF Lance J already mentioned, Ace Combat 6 currently has some issues for some people.

While I was able to redeem, download and play it with no problems, my friend ran into the "Do you own this game" issue as well.

He did as the megathread suggested, and uninstalled the game first.

Then do NOT install the game from the "ready to install" section.

Instead, go to the Xbox store, and search for Ace Combat 6. If you found the game on the store, try to initiate the download from the store.

That method helped my friend to get Ace Combat 6 working.

Well it does not matter if you don't have gold becasue it is a 360 game so it's not the case, but the thing is a lot of people is havong the same problem, i think we should wait for it to be fixed, after all, they just added it this week or so
