    Redeeming Xbox Live Gold 3 Month membership


    5 calls from Microsoft Customer Service and all 5 calls they hung up on us. All of them without solving my problem! Every time I went back into the queue to be “called” again, with waiting times varying from 11 minutes (call back was after 30 minutes!) and
    40 minutes. During the best attempt, we were told that they would unlock the 3 months Xbox Gold we bought on Amazon.de so that it can be use it in Germany. After we sent proof of purchase to the link sent to us, the ticket was closed without unlocking the
    code, without any further instructions on what we should do and all attempts at redeeming the code on the console and online has been unsuccessful. So after 5 unsuccessful calls, many more unsuccessful requests for a call back, more than 2 hours wasted waiting
    for 'call backs' my number was blocked, the other number we provided was called only to be hung up after 1 second... because clearly the problem can be solved in a 1 second call... NOT! So here I am still with the error code_ ‘PUR-ConversionBlockedCurrencyCountryMismatch’.
    I would really just like someone to help solve this problem without hanging up the phone, but it seems like that is too much to ask! We have been loyal Microsoft customers for years, but I have never experienced such TERRIBLE customer service!

    Yes, they are cumulative. You can stack Xbox Live Gold time for up to 3 years (36 months). You can redeem all three cards and it will extend your Gold membership for 18 months.

    You cannot use your account balance to purchase an Xbox Live Gold subscription. You can use Xbox Live Gold membership cards. They come in one month, 3 month, and year memberships. It's the same kinda thing, a prepaid code that gets redeemed to your account
    and adds the number of months you have purchased. The gift cards with the dollar amounts that get added to your account cannot be used to buy a membership

    Hi, Well you must be a Gold Member and that would require you to add that feature to your xbox live account after you purchase a 3, 6 or 12 month membership. And redeem the code to be a gold member.

    Just to clarify, did you purchase a 3 month Xbox Live Gold membership through the dashboard offer on your console? Or did you redeem a pre-paid code? In order for you to qualify for this offer you would have needed to purchase an Xbox Live Gold membership
    through the promotion on your console. Redeeming a pre-paid code will not qualify for this promotion.
