  2. Monthly Rewards

Does anyone know if you could earn progress and complete the monthly rewards offers by gifting the eligible games to friends?

    Hiya, ManticWall!

Paul from Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the question. It looks like you'd like to use your Microsoft rewards points to gift your friend a Xbox 5$ gift card. Unfortunately we no longer hand out codes for any amount of currency. The new process is that
the money is directly deposited into your Microsoft Account as stated here "NEW! Microsoft Rewards has enabled direct deposit. Now when you redeem points for an Xbox Gift Card the value will be directly deposited into your Microsoft account. You’ll no longer
receive a code in your inbox that you’ll have to take to Microsoft.com to apply yourself. We’ll only email you to confirm when the value is ready for you to spend.". I hope you find this information helpful in resolving the issue. Please let us know if there
is any other questions you may have.

    Happy Gaming!

  5. That is unfortunate. Would I still be able to redeem the reward for my self but purchase a game for a friend?

This makes no sense... it's a "gift" card! How do I "gift" it to someone if it is direct deposited???? Please use your brain and either allow us to use a "gift" card for what it is, a "gift", or stop calling it a "gift" card. Seriously, open a dictionary
and look up what a "gift" is!

    Hello c2k!

Well, the way the system is currently set up, for your rewards, the funds are directly added to your Microsoft wallet, rather than you getting some pre-paid code with currency on it..

Microsoft funds cannot be gifted themselves to another person through our system.

Only digital products like games and certain in game content packs can really be gifted.

The only way for you to give some love to your friends via the store in this instance would be to find whatever content you want to give them and select "buy as gift" if it is something game related they want, or to get a pre-paid code for Microsoft currency
and give them the code before it has been redeemed on your account.

Hope this information was helpful but for a little more information, you can check out our help page at

Help with giving digital games as gifts

    Thanks!

I thought I was pretty clear, yet somehow you completely avoided the problem.

Again, it says "gift" card, but you can't give it to anyone.... so since it is very unlikely that you will correct the inability to give someone the "gift" card you offer us to redeem our points for, you need to change the name so it doesn't say "gift".

    Do you understand yet?
