Redeeming code on website and downloading it to xbox one

Hi,

I am not home at the moment but just used a redeem code for Destiny beta on Xbox One on xbox.com, it said thank you, you now own this item but no further information, can I force my Xbox One to download it now like the queue for 360 or do I have to wait
till I get home? Also if I do have to wait, where do I go to download it as I remember redeeming a key for watchdogs on the site and never finding anything to download the extra pack and assumed it was just added in automatically.

The twenty free DLC can be downloaded right away. The code that we get is the one you type directly into XBox Live on the Redeem Code section. (Like the Gears if War 2 map pack). There is no messing around with websites like the US versions.

This feature is coming in the next update where you can remote download and install from Smart Glass and xbox.com. Until it comes out you'll have to turn on the console in order for the download to start.

 

If you have someone at home you could call and ask them to turn on the console for you. Or, you could try calling your house and so long as your voice mail goes live over the phone you could try saying Xbox One through the phone.

If the console is on when you get home you'll have to post back here and let me know if it works. lol

 

That would be cool! I'll gone even further and say have Cortana on smartglass like siri and when you launch smartglass you could say xbox one and it will turn the console on for you.

Thanks for the help but when i got home and turned it on it did not start automatically, i had to go into my games and apps and all the way to the right it was there as "waiting to install" which would prob be any digital games you purchase and either delete
to save space or buy on the site and its marked as purchased in your account. i did not have any time to play so i set the download and turned off my xbox(standby mode) and it was ready when i got home from work last night. I thought about smartglass after
already getting home and downloading, but hopefully they will get this into their system as 360 already has it.
