    Redeeming code did not work


    I redeemed a code on the Microsoft store for cosmetics on Fortnite battle royale the popular battle royale game for kids and it did not go to my Fortnite account when I opened it, my Fortnite account and Xbox account are connected, I redeemed it on the same account that they are connected. I first thought to try and log in to epic games with my Xbox account but it didn't work and said link to a new account or existing, I choose existing and login and it says "This Epic account was previously linked to a different external account. It can only be relinked to the old external account and not a new one." I don't want the cosmetics to be redeemed to the wrong account and stuff and if I unlink Xbox from my epic games and relink it I don't know if that will somehow mess with something and I'll lose the cosmetics entirely.

    In this case, you may need to reach out to Epic games in that way they can validate the account linked along with the items that you redeemed.

    Absolutely, however since you've mentioned that your Microsoft account may have been linked on the wrong epic account that may be the issue which means that you may need to have it validated.

    Hmm that's really strange actually did you try to redeem code in the game or on dashboard I know I did mine on dashboard u cud try in game redeem code in extras and dashboard redeem code. Might work that way.
