    Redeeming a previously used code - Xbox one


    Hello, I recently purchased a game from eBay which came with an add on code for more features. The previous owner had used the code, but now they have uninstalled the game from there console. Should I be able to use the code again to obtain the content?
    If so how as its not working.

    Need help redeeming my xbox live code

    I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

    so what the... what do I do now?

    How to Redeem a Code on Xbox One - QR Code or 25 Character Code

    Hey guys! Okay, so you need to figure out how to redeem codes on the Xbox One? Well, there are a few ways of doing this.

    1.
    • Login to Xbox.com (top right hand side)
    • In the top bar, mouse over Xbox Live Gold
    • You'll see 'Redeem Code' in the drop down list
    • Click 'Redeem' and enter your 25 digit code!
    If your code is a game or DLC, it will automatically start downloading once you login to your Xbox, unless you have your Xbox in standby, which will allow it to download right away!

    • From the main page of the Xbox One dashboard, scroll to the right to the 'Games' section and select that section -or- If your Kinect is connected, say "Xbox, Use a Code"
    • If you have a QR code (that square looking code thing), you can hold it up to your Kinect to redeem it.
    • If you have a 25 digit code, in the lower left of the screen, you have the option to "enter the 25-character code." Click that and enter your code. Confirm your code and you're all set!
    Your item will automatically download. Enjoy!

    Once a code has been redeemed, it is used and cannot be redeemed again. These codes should not be sold as they have no value.

    seejust the other day i redeem a code and it didnt work but it worked for the xbox360 but i redeem it on a xbox one on my xbox one and it is a xbox one code. what should i do microsoft? i need help with my code.

    Hi, Kiara!

    I understand how this may be a bit confusing.

    The reason why the console bundle you purchased includes a UK power cable and UK redeemable codes, is because it was made specifically to be sold in the UK. If you had purchased a console bundle in the US, it would've included a power cable and redeemable codes specifically made for the US.

    - The workaround for this hardware difference is simply using a "plug adapter" or replacing its power cord for the one you currently use with your Xbox One S.

    - To be able to redeem the included codes, your console would need to be connected to the internet in the UK, which is not possible since you are currently in the US.

    To answer your main question, you will not have any issues redeeming codes, as long as the codes you purchase moving forward are issued for the US. As I previously mentioned, Xbox consoles are region-free, but redeemable codes are not.
