    I bought bo3 preowned last week and when i go to redeem the Nuketown code, it says that the code has already been used. I don't understand why I can't use the code even though it is a used game?

    I purchased and have received and redeemed the codes for the games but seem to be getting an error code trying to redeem the 12 Month Live code.

    Xbos-0x80169CF9

    Any ideas? It just suggests trying again later.

    Need help redeeming my xbox live code

    I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

    so what the... what do I do now?

    Redeeming a preowned game code

    Codes are one-time use only so the previous owner probably already used it. You would need to purchase the game new to get a brand new code.

    i traded in my used copy of my hardened edition that i preordered and you better believe that the first thing i did as soon as i opened that box was redeemed my code. basically you got a better case for your game buying the used hardened editon, but it didnt
    cost more than the regular preowned.

    @Maximo: Yes, if it was preowned, then the code was probably used and you will have to pay.
