Redeeming 1 Month code for Xbox Live

On the Xbox 360 I receive this message.

"This payment option can't be used for this purchase. Please select a different payment option or add a new one."

This doesn't make any sense in the least as it's a redeem code.

When I enter the code on Xbox.com I get this error code.

"XBOS-3008

Now when I tried using a 12 month redeem code I was informed the reason I couldn't use it was due to almost having 3 years Xbox Live time saved.

As this is only a 1 Month redeem code, that's not the case.

My 1 Month redeem code is expiring soon and I want to use it so it doesn't go to waste.

I'm also looking for help with this issue from a Official Support Agent, not an Ambassador.

I was redeeming a code for 1 month xbox live gold membership

I purchased and have received and redeemed the codes for the games but seem to be getting an error code trying to redeem the 12 Month Live code.

Any ideas? It just suggests trying again later.

 

The 1 month Xbox LIVE redeem code expires on 2/28/14.

I would really appreciate some help with this issue ASAP.

My Xbox LIVE expires on 1/25/2015

For some reason the Payment method shows up as "Paid With: None"

I could have sworn that my account was paid till 1/25/2016

When I go to view my transaction history for my Microsoft Account I receive an error when trying to view my subscription purchases.

"Our system is temporary unavailable due to technical reasons. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact customer support."

 

Do you think that the free trial could be expired? Or maybe your network system was over whelmed.

 

I've haven't used a free trial for Xbox LIVE since I originally created my account some 8+ years ago.

Also on the network side, everything on my end is working fine.

This is definitely something on Microsoft's end.

 

You cannot redeem a free trial code while you have a current subscription...

I wouldn't consider it a free trial. As I paid for it basically when I purchased food at McDonalds.

The email I received for it states the following. "You have won an Xbox Live Gold Membership (One Month). Approximate retail value: $10."

It's basically like going to the store and buying a one month card. Would you consider that a free month?

 

Also for a little more info on the prize. Nowhere does it stipulate that you cannot use the One Month Code with an existing Microsoft Account Which already has Gold. When looking at the xbox.com/usagerules , No where does it state that a "Xbox LIVE Prepaid
1 month Gold Membership Card." cannot be added to an existing gold account.

It turned out this issue was happening to me because of an expired Credit Card. I had updated the payment option, but my remaining Xbox LIVE Gold subscription was linked to the expired Credit Card. For some reason all the normal steps to fix this issue didn't
work to resolve the problem. As I worked with the Xbox Customer Care Advocacy Team, It was decided after much consideration and technical support, I had the Agent cancel my remaining Xbox LIVE time and then once again I'm now able to redeem Xbox LIVE subscription
redeem codes. Luckily I had a year remaining on my time and the agent was able to give me a replacement code to use for that year that was canceled.

There is a way to earn a free month of Xbox LIVE as well as money towards your Xbox LIVE account. If you join Bing Rewards and do internet searches like you're already doing. You can earn enough reward points for a bunch of different goodies. Check it out

i put a 12 month code on xbox 360 but it says error please try again and i bought it from game microsoft can you please send me a new gold code for 12 months beacouse i paid £49.99 so give the code on my xbox 360 account.
