    Redeemed xbox one codes on xbox.com, not downloading to console.


    Hello, I redeemed 2 codes on xbox.com for my xbox one and neither have downloaded yet. It's been about 30 minutes. I can see then in my download history on xbox.com but the only option is xbox 360. How long until my console downloads the dlcs? Thank you.

    How to Redeem a Code on Xbox One - QR Code or 25 Character Code

    Hey guys! Okay, so you need to figure out how to redeem codes on the Xbox One? Well, there are a few ways of doing this.

    1.
    • Login to Xbox.com (top right hand side)
    • In the top bar, mouse over Xbox Live Gold
    • You'll see 'Redeem Code' in the drop down list
    • Click 'Redeem' and enter your 25 digit code!
    If your code is a game or DLC, it will automatically start downloading once you login to your Xbox, unless you have your Xbox in standby, which will allow it to download right away!


    2.
    • From the main page of the Xbox One dashboard, scroll to the right to the 'Games' section and select that section -or- If your Kinect is connected, say "Xbox, Use a Code"
    • If you have a QR code (that square looking code thing), you can hold it up to your Kinect to redeem it.
    • If you have a 25 digit code, in the lower left of the screen, you have the option to "enter the 25-character code." Click that and enter your code. Confirm your code and you're all set!
    Your item will automatically download. Enjoy!

    Faulty kinect and now console in the first 2 weeks of ownership!

    Have you got your console back yet?
    They said that all consoles with disc drive faults will be returned with a code to download a free game so you should get at least that.
    I argued further and stated that if I use that code to replace my damaged disc then I've not got a free game and that I should get 2 codes. They agreed pretty easily and sent a code for Forza 5 which I redeemed on Xbox.com. I assume I just download it when I get my console back. Think I'll get Zoo Tycoon for the kids with the other code as they loved playing with the demo.

    I've had the same issue with the Forza 5 Day 1 DLC. It's been over a week now.

    I called xbox support and they told me to turn on the xbox one then hold power button for 10 secs to clear cache. I tried this and it actually fixed my problem.

    You can redeem codes online at Xbox.com, but because the game is for Xbox 360, you will need to connect the console to the internet to download it. It's not possible download and transfer it from PC to USB drive and then to console.

    Found this:

    If you try to redeem a code for Microsoft Points (that fake currency before the switch to real currency) on the Xbox One, Microsoft Store app or the Xbox.com website,
    you will get a "Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different web page." and "Xbox. Please redeem this code on your console."

    The only way to redeem your Microsoft Points code is on an Xbox 360. The "console" in the above statement is referring to the Xbox 360, not the Xbox One. The Xbox 360 Dashboard is the only software left that
    knows what Microsoft Points are. Once redeemed, the points will convert to its Estimated Retail Price and deposit to your Microsoft Account and will expire in a year.

    When everything outside the Xbox 360 was overhauled to accommodate the Xbox One and Windows 10, Microsoft appeared to have removed most of the Xbox 360 backend from them (which is why you can't manage Xbox
    360 downloads or see all your Xbox 360 purchases from Xbox.com anymore).
