Redeemed Live Gold Membership Code but can't get Games on Gold

Hello,

I redeemed an Xbox Live Gold voucher code and now my account says;

Xbox Live Gold
Prepaid 12M Xbox LIVE Gold

Expires on: 03/09/2015

But when I go into Xbox Live Gold and select 'Games with Gold' it asks if I want to Join and the only options when I click through are;

Xbox Live Gold

1 Month Xbox Live Gold

£5.99

or

Xbox Live Gold

12 Month Xbox Live Gold

£39.99

But surely I don't need to pay as I'm already a Gold member.

Any ideas?

My games won't recognize my xbox live gold

I just redeemed a code for a whole year of xbox live gold. My xbox one says I have the membership but when I load up a game, I can't use any features that require xbox live gold. Can anybody help me with this issue?

I tried subscribing to live but instead of using my Xbox to do it I redeemed my gold membership on the computer and now I can't use my redemption code to get live on my Xbox now I'm frustrated and need help thanks

Yeah but no joy there either, I just get the same 'Join Now' options.

What I think he's referring to is that he redeem code, however you can't play on Xbox Live. Did you redeem the code on Xbox.com? If yes, it takes a few hours for the gold membership to activate on your account

Hi.

Xbox Live trial memberships can only be redeemed if you do not have an existing Xbox Live Gold membership. You can redeem a trial code once your current membership has expired.

Also please don't forget it is not possible to use an Xbox Live Gold trial whilst you have an active gold membership. If you do have an active gold membership if you allow it to expire and you should then be able to redeem the code.

Did you have a Gold membership prior to redeeming the code? You're showing as having a Gold membership now.

Error Code: 8016A0FA – Appears when you try to redeem a gold membership card on your account and are unable to do so because you already have the maximum 3 years (36 months) of Xbox LIVE Gold time.

When you get the 2 year mark with your gold subscription time, you will then be able to redeem that code on this account.
