    I bought the $30 prepaid cards (which came in a set of 3) and redeemed 2 of them on my account on the xbox. It said that they worked and were redeemed. I didn't need to use them so I just went ahead and played the game I had in. Thinking that it all went
    okay, I threw them out without checking. When I went to use the $20 that I had redeemed it showed my previous balance instead. Today I checked again and it is still not there, niether on the xbox or my microsoft account. I'm at a loss here, I'm new to the
    xbox live thing and have no idea what to do. I recieved no error code or notice or anything saying that they were invalid or not usable. Please help! Redeemed codes for prepaid cards, not showing anywhere. :(

    Need help redeeming my xbox live code

    I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

    so what the... what do I do now?

    hey

    I just redeemed my xbox live 3 months code , it showing the prepaid card ,but when i confirmed it i get " something went wrong"

    Hi there,

    you were signed in on the correct account when redeeming the codes?

    Since they will be bound to the account that was signed in.

    If you were on the same account, I do advise to contact Xbox Support via
    support.xbox.com/contact-us     to see if they can do a more indepth check.

    Also if it's possible try to recover the codes that you threw out, not sure if they are needed though.

    I checked the other profiles on the xbox. Its not in any of them. Thank you, I will do that.

    Did you buy out of region codes that doesn't match your account region?

    If so that would be why

    Currency codes are region locked they can be redeemed but the balance only shows at commerce.Microsoft.com

    And can only be spent in a same region Account

    Games are not region specific and can be played and redeemed anywhere. Currency on the other hand is not. It can only be used and redeemed in the same region. So that would be dependent on how his account is setup. Learn
