  1. Redeemed Code thru website, but Xbox console is not showing that "live" is activated


    I'm totally new to Xbox Live. Just bought a 3-month card, set up account thru website, redeemed code, etc. Went to the Xbox console and there is no evidence that I did anything. What do I have to do now? I didn't do anything (that I know of) so it would
    know/recognize me OR my xbox console…………..PLEASE HELP!

    i redeemed 12 months of xbox live via the website but xbox one console is still showing that it is due to run out

    Redeemed Code thru website, but Xbox console is not showing that "live" is activated

    When you add gold via the website, there is a delay before the console will recognize it. Try testing your connection on the console. That should speed up the process.

    If that doesn't work, sign into
    http://commerce.microsoft.com
    and make sure it does show the subscription being added to your account. If it doesn't, try redeeming the code again, or if there are any issues you will need to contact support directly. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada

  5. That is so helpful, thank you! But, you brought up another problem………….just realized that my console is not connected to the internet. My mom uses her landlords wi-fi, will that work? How would I connect it? Wondering if an ethernet cable connecting
    her laptop to my xbox 360 console would work? Is there another way?

    That would also be a reason why it won't recognize the new subscription. It has to be connected to the internet in order to use the subscription. If you have a Slim console it should be able to connect to the wifi, but I'm not exactly sure how to set that
    up.

    When you add gold via the website, there is a delay before the console will recognize it. Try testing your connection on the console. That should speed up the process.

    Can Elite be accessed with a family plan? My husband got it but we are on a family plan with two other friends and whenever he tries to enter the code it says that it has to be done thru the main account holders profile.

    There is a way around it..

    This error happens if you try to redeem the code on an Xbox Live Gold Family account that is not the primary account. This only happens on the console version of the Xbox Live Marketplace. You can still redeem this code by going to the Xbox
    Live website and redeeming the code there.

    1. Log into the Xbox Live website with your Xbox Live ID.

    2. Click on "My Account"

    3. Click on "Redeem Code" under "Billing and Payment."

    4. Enter your code on the next page and your account will be activated.

    Please allow at least 1 hour for the ELITE website to reflect your subscription status.
