Also, I just want to clarify, you are unable to launch any Xbox game online and unable to download any games from the Xbox game pass library, is that correct?

Kindly confirm if the subscription is active on your account by signing your account on account.microsoft.com > services and subscription.

You can also confirm if the subscription was successfully redeemed on account.microsoft.com > payment and billing > order history.

If you are able to confirm the subscription is active and that the codes were successfully redeemed under your order history, try to perform the following troubleshooting steps:

Please remove your Microsoft account from your console > restart your console > re-add your Microsoft account > then check to see if it works here's how to remove your account:

1.Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

2.Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

3.Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

> Then restart your console and proceed with re-adding the account. You've got nothing to worry as this will not delete your saved data progress.

Once done, check if you're able to use your Xbox game pass ultimate subscription on your device.

So you redeemed the code to download the game? Did you redeem it on the account you are trying to play on?

The promotion has ended but if you redeemed the code you can still play the game on the account you redeem it on please make sure you are logged in with the same Microsoft account you redeem the code on.

If the codes were redeemed the liscense would be tied to the accounts that they were redeemed on. A new user would not be able to play those games.

The played rule only applies to games you bought and played

But since its a gift the redeemed rule applies
