Redeemed a Microsoft gift card to the wrong account

Hello I have two xbox accounts and I accidently redeemed two gift cards in the wrong account. I haven't use the credits and I still have the cards with me. There is any way I can get those credit moved over the other account? Thanks in advance for any suggestion

Buying games with Gift cards

Hi, I'm trying to buy a game using the gift cards that I've redeemed, but I only see my credit card option under payment. How to I purchase games with the money (redeemed from gift cards) in my microsoft account?

 

The only thing you can do is contact support
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us & they may be able to sort something out for you.

Unfortunately, support can't do anything as well. If you review this page
support.xbox.com/.../microsoft-points-retire-faq, you will see there that local credits are not transferrable from one account to another. Though if the account where you redeemed the codes is the parental account and the intended account is a child account
under the same family. You actually should have the option to add credits to the child account. I saw this feature just awhile ago on

Actually support will sometimes remove the currency from the wrong account & credit you with a code to put on the right account.

They wont always do it which is why I said they may be able to help.

 

I kind of gave up. I have chat with the tech support but I got the feeling they really didn't care that much. The tech keep repeating I "I would love to help yuo but..." I really can't understand that; you have two accounts that evidently belong to the same
person (same name and same phone number) but they keep same "is not the same the policies says....." To difficult to explain to a kid so I just will buy a new card and deal wit it, I'm not going to ruin my kid bday because Microsoft policies . Thanks for

Unfortunately we're unable to assist in transferring credit between Microsoft accounts, but I did want to offer a different solution that may make this situation less ideal.

With the account that the Xbox gift cards were accidentally redeemed on, you could use the credit that was redeemed on that account on a game and then have that account set as your home Xbox One console (check our

Xbox One Home page for info). That way your kid can enjoy any games on that account without you having to be signed in.

Totally understand the frustration, but I hope that alternative solution helps out!

 

I know of that option but I bought those cards to buy some "gold" for a specific game, and for my understanding that game is tied on the account so I can't used the credits to buy on my kid account. I know I made the mistake and I should educate myself more,
but I also think the whole thing is kind of silly. Thats my Xbox these are my accounts and Microsoft will get payed anyway. I'm not a gamer and I didn't know it was so complicated, or maybe I'm to old to understand all this policies. I'm cool with everybody
but one thing is sure this is the first and it will be the last
