Redeem gift card on wrong account

I made 2 orders:

a) redeemed a gift card

b) added a cash amount on the 2nd order

both for Fornite V-Bucks

I was emailed the confirmation of the receipts.

I have since discovered that both orders were made on the wrong Microsoft Account.

I have tried contacting support only to go around and around with the virtual agent.

Question:

Is it possible to either:

a) get a refund on the purchased, or

b) transfer the purchased to the correct account?

Any assistance from a real purchase will be greatly appreciated.

Theres an issue with your account or order

When i was on Microsoft Rewards i tried to redeem hot deal$5 Xbox gift card but it say theres something wrong with your account or order.

Hi I'm sorry to report this but sadly there is nothing we can do but offer advise. We are all volunteers here. You will have to speak to an agent Contact Support to
solve this issue as it requires accessing your account. You can request a call back and an agent will ring you.

Hi MrPad00, in this case, I would personally contact support if he would solve this problem somehow. They could help you, but I think it will not be that easy.

As others suggested you might try to contact xbox support yet keep in mind that you can't transfer items or currency from one account to another

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with redeeming the gift card on the wrong account.

What type of gift card was it? (Currency/Subscription)

Unfortunately, if the gift card is for Microsoft Currency you will not be able to transfer or refund. The funds will get attached to the account it was redeemed on.

I have done the exact same thing, I don’t own an Xbox, nor do I know anyone with an Xbox (this was bought as a leaving gift for someone I will never see again). Microsoft have replied stating that I am not entitled to a refund as I have played or consumed a game (which is not the case). I’ve been denied a refund 3 times now. So essentially I’m sitting with money on my account for an Xbox I don’t own. I’m now going to have to buy a game to sit and collect dust
