"We got my son a new Xbox one S at Xmas , which came with digital game down loads . I set his Xbox up on my account. I want to crate him is own account and redeem the down loads again to his account, is this possible?"

Xbox One code redeemed on wrong account

I redeemed a game code that I received when I purchased Assassins Creed: Origins Deluxe edition on my wrong account and I'm wondering if there's a way I can redeem it again (with proof of purchase of game and code of course).

I think I read somewhere that you can redeem codes if you change the store/region of your xbox.

Just seen this

Plastic - I redeemed the codes online through the MS store (while logged into my account) and they went into a NEW US account, as you're suggesting... I just want to confirm, basically, that anything that I buy in the US store will still be accessible to me when I switch back to a CDN account.... is that your experience? everything you buy is available to you in either / both accounts when you're set to either US / CAN / AUS? Codes can only be redeemed once. So if you already redeemed them on your account, you won't be able to redeem them on his. However, if you set the console as your Home console, he will be able to access the game's from his account.

If the codes were redeemed the liscense would be tied to the accounts that they were redeemed on. A new user would not be able to play those games.

Hey, CSINKO! Unfortunately, once a code is redeemed on an account, there is no way to transfer it to another account. We are also unable to replace the code so that you can redeem a new one on your other account. You will need to either get another code
from a friend that doesn't want to use theirs, purchase the game on the second account you have, or use the account that you accidentally redeemed the code on to play the game solely. Thanks for understanding!

If the code was redeemed on your account, you should be able to redownload it from the Ready to Install section of your Games and Apps or re-install it from the store.

If the code was not redeemed on your account, you would either need to purchase it on your account or the person who did redeem the code would need to sign into the new console and set it as their Home console.

That's it. No need for new accounts. Just redeem the gold membership code on the account you use.

The code is for redemption to assign it to your account, so the account that redeemed the code on the old laptop would still have the digital license for the game. The code is one-time use for acquiring that license. With the account that redeemed the
code, you should be able to download it from the store with the account that purchased it. Are you using the same Microsoft Account on your new computer?
