Redeem code problem

I tried to redeem a code for 240 points, then I got an error message at the end, anyone can help?

Anyone having problems connecting to COD:AW multiplayer?

There's problems with the Xbox Store not redeeming codes right now. I called the hotline and it was the first thing the automaton said.

 

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

 

Where did you get the code? I know there were some games at one point that came with a code for around that amount that are now expired. You may want to check the card to see if there's an expiration date.

 

could you check ist backside? if it was bundled with a game i guess there is an expiration date on it

I got one by email back in 2013 but it does not have an expiration date on it for 160 points.

 

I have the same problem today, points as a reward from bing, no expiration I want to use them up now.

all promotion points expire, only ones you buy in a store don't

 

I emailed bing and they report the code as still valid and unused. There email has no expire date you cannot legally expire something with no notification, either by email or the original content. These were not promotions from xbox ( I know those rewards
expire) but actually purchased points (either by cash or points)

I tried my code again I left it for ages as I have been very busy working and I still get an error. Bing assure me the code is good, I know it is not expired or I would get the expired notice.
