    Redeem code issue "XBOS1005" error.


    Hello, so i bought a 3months prepaid card xbox live gold membership redeem code from a game stop , (the card is bought from the same region of my gamertag) but when i try to redeem it on the console i get this message saying not a valid code, try again,
    i also tried to redeem the code online and i get this message "Something went wrong, give it a try in a while.." and this error XBOS1005.

    Please help me.

    I received my Codes for Gears 1, 3 & Judgement. Could redeem the code for 3 & Judgement, but the Gears 1 Code always gives me an error message.

    Where have you tried to redeem your code, Xbox One console or on your computer? I recommend checking out the How to redeem an Xbox prepaid code page (Link Below) to see if you are still experiencing this error using a different redemption method.

    hi im not hijacking this thread but i have the same problem also, my xbox came from canada with a prepaid full game download code, i have tried changing my location and time even in my computer to match the canada's timezone, when i tried redeeming im current
    location it says invalid when i tried to match canada's the item popped out but when i clicked okay it says "Something went wrong

    3rd support ticket and still no help

    At any rate the XBOS1005 error appeared when I tried to redeem my code on the XBOX SITE.....so whether the console was an xbox one or a 360 should not have mattered

    And this was the third code that has not worked..I have seen other persons reporting similar issues about the XBOS1005 error and to this point I have not seen any definitive answer on the issue...

    Live in Japan, can't redeem game codes.

    It is definitely a regional issue, and these are all 360 games. Specifically, Fallout 3, Dark Souls and Gears of War 2. Here is the error message though, all of them got the XBOS1005 error code.

    Same for me. I just bought a 12 Gold subscription from Microsoft store and tried to redeem the code, but got this error XBOS1005.

    Tried many times with no luck. Even changed the country from US to UK with no luck.

    Please help!
