redeem code gives not a game but a gun

Hello, I got a big issue here, I've bought a redeemcode for farcry 5, bought this from a non microsoft medium, I've put the code in and redeem it and I just had a dlc gun! I contacted the seller and he told he checked the code before sending, now on pc I
do see it says at first "keycode for farcry 5", but nothing of the game to see, only the gun attached in this area that was downloaded, I can not retry the code. and on my xbox itself nothing to be found. when going into the store it still says to buy for
69.99€ or buying as a gift. Also the bigger dlc versions still for sale, but the code wasn't the deluxe versions. Can't contact/chat or email xbx support because they don't work at this houre. Anyone can help me?

Can you gift redeemed codes?

Now I know I can just send a code to a friend for them to redeem themselves. But I want to give a friend a game as a surprise.

I have a code to redeem for the game, but I don't want to redeem it for my account - I want to redeem it for theirs.

So if I did redeem the code on my account, can I then send them the game as a gift instead of d'loading it to my account after I have redeemed it?

You will need to work with Support so they can look into the code to see what it is specifically for as no one in the forums will be able to.

You can go here for ways to contact/have support contact you back.

If you purchased from a non Microsoft medium, and the code you redeemed only gives a DLC item, odds are the seller was not entirely truthful on what the code was for.

 

Hey, sorry to hear about your issue. Your case is most likely a scam, I don't think the guys at Xbox support would resolve this because you already redeemed the code successfully, I suggest you contact the seller directly.

when you entered the code what did it say that you was claiming?

 

I would contact the seller of the code and contact Support

 

If you bought it from a third source that has nothing to do with Microsoft

 

The only person who can help you is the seller, you bought the code from a thrid party and were scammed. Xbox cant do anything about that.

 

Contacting official support or Ubisoft would be your only path to this issue.
