    I bought a game , Fruit ninja kinect 2 from Microsoft site. Since I am from Romania and Microsoft doesn't have a region dedicated to my country, but they sale Xbox console on this market, I considered that any game I buy I should be able to play on my console,
    no matter the region. I tried to activate the game by gift code, but big surprise, I can't. Because the code is for another region. "

    Contact the seller to get a code that works in your region
    This code was purchased in a different region and cannot be redeemed."

    And I am asked to contact the seller (which is Microsoft site) to give me another code. I tried the virtual agent who failed in helping me. How should I proceed?

    Hi Fearless,

    As mentioned by Denis97g, it is impossible to redeem codes from different regions. As there are different laws regulations for different regions. The friend who gifted it will need to

    request a refund online    . I will also go ahead and lock this thread as to prevent repetitive answers.

    That is the issue with trying to gift someone a game outside of your own region. That person should request a refund and find a different way to help you out.
