Why is my redeem code not working it keep on saying

"Something went wrong"
"Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate."

The error that comes up = XBOS-1005 91002940-e086-40c1-a2a3-3cbdb47d5b05

I purchased and have received and redeemed the codes for the games but seem to be getting an error code trying to redeem the 12 Month Live code.

Xbos-0x80169CF9

Any ideas? It just suggests trying again later.
