Redbox Bluray Won't Play

    my xbox one doesn't like to play the redbox movies but plays the movies I purchase just fine, could it be an issue with rental copies?

    Yes. This game has an online pass. So you won't be able to play this game online if you rent from redbox

    Any decent site review Ryse yet?

    I heard of a redbox app coming for x1, it probably won't let you rent games though will it? Probably just a movie player...

    What type of discs are you using? DVDs, BluRays? What are the exact names of the movies that are causing this issue?

    Are you getting any error codes at all?

    Have you tried renting from other places to see if that may be affected, too?

    Get back to me with these, and we'll be able to pick up from there. Redbox Bluray Won't Play :D

    there is a redbox not even a block away from me, its actually a 15 second drive , thus the 1.50 DOESNT ADD UP, 1.50 for a day with a bluray or paying $25 for one with netflix. hmmm. hhmmmmm

    Ryse, The Division, Destiny and HALO looked awesome !

    I think you'll recieve a code (from blockbuster/gamefly/redbox) that will allow you to play the rented game. That code won't be free so, M$ and the publishers will still get their cut.

    Did anyone get an actual answer? I'm renting my xbox and i rented a dvd from redbox and the bluray app says the dvd is coded for region one and the console for region 2. I even made sure to make sure my region was set to the u.s.
