    Red ring on xbox 360E,any easy fix suggestions?


    Red light showing on power switch on device and also on power unit,XBOX 360 E is 2 years old.I've hoovered any dust of it,switched off unit for best part of 48 hours,tried another power pack unit and still shows red light.Is this the end of it's life or
    can I do something simple to get it working again? Thank you.

    Xbox freezing

    yeah mine froze up then I had a Red Ring. You could try these good tips at XBOX EASY FIX . It fixed my Xbox real quick and it was easy. Its better than shipping it off and spending alot of money. If you know anybody with the Red Rings tell them about this. Its the best. Good luck!

    Best Xbox?

    Red rings are usually easy to fix, but i feel the original xbox was a pretty stable console, unlike the early 360's.

    Sounds like your xbox is overheating. Do you get a red ring or anything with it? I suggest calling 1-800-4MYXBOX and speaking with hardware to get it fixed before you get the red ring of death. Or try online

    @ Covert Affairs Has your red ringed? did it happen to you? I didn't think so. It has a red GLOW that's in the shape of a ring so I call it a red ring it's not yellow or orange it's red and it's in the shape of let's see..........OH WAIT! a ring. I think
    when they say it cant red ring it means it "the xbox" can't shut down because of it and like I said before it was my hard drive. when it's in the xbox and I power on it has a dull red ring but it IS a red ring where the green used to be and when I take it
    out it's normal. I should have made a video of it for people who don't bleave me but I'm not lying.

    @brandiesel1 I sent a note with my hard drive begging them to try and fix it but I think it's not gonna happen. I will just start over but some of those games like Mass Effect 1 and 2 were easy to beat but time consuming because of all the characters I had.

    2 red rings

    2 red rings means its over heating if the warranty is gone i would suggest opening it and cleaning out all of the dust, that will fix it
