    Red ring after i dropped my hard-drive


    I got a red ring of death on my Xbox 360 Slim after I dropped the hard-drive for it, Is there a way I can fix this? Or will I have to buy another hard-drive and download all of my games back?

    Maybe try this:

    1. Turn off the Xbox 360 completely.
    2. Disconnect all cables and devices from the console.
    3. Remove the external hard drive if one is attached.
    4. Reconnect the power source and restart the console.
    5. Shut down the console and reattach the hard drive.

    My friend told me that the 320gb hard drive carry's the red ring if death and the 250gb hard drive is sold out so the 120gb hard drive is the only option I got.

    A hard drive can't make a console red ring to my knowledge. Sounds to me that he is pulling a scam.
