Red line when using the Xbox app on PC

Hi all,

When I try and use the Xbox One app on PC it loads up perfectly but I get a red line that runs down the middle of the screen. I can't seem to get rid of it no matter what I try. Any help would be grateful.

The apps not working

Hi Farcher2001, What version of the app are you using? Are you also experiencing this issue when using the Xbox App beta? you can DL the app by going to the store on your PC and searching for "Xbox App beta".

Red line down middle of screen when streaming from Xbox one to Windows 10 app

Hi all,

When I try and use the Xbox One app on PC it loads up perfectly but I get a red line that runs down the middle of the screen when I start streaming. I can't seem to get rid of it no matter what I try, and have included a screenshot. Any help would be gratefully
appreciated.

Hi Coxyclan, We haven't observed other reports on this, can you please help us out and report this issue via Xbox App Beta using the "Report a problem". Include a screenshot of the redline if possible. We will take your info and send it to the developers
to request and investigation.

If you were seeing messages in PowerShell after entering this line: get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

Please know that the system recognize the line and it is executing it. Thus, the red line is simply for notifying the user that it is performed in the background. You may enter the next line to reinstall Gaming services and let me know if issue still persists: start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

The services like Gaming Services are usually hidden and may not be accessible if it is in System 32 files. Thus, you notice Xbox app is built-in to the Windows devices and this Gaming Services is usually installed or updated when the said app is launched.

Not natively, but if you use the Xbox App to stream the game from your console, you will be able to use an Xbox controller connected to the PC to play Red Dead Redemption 2. This will still be using the console, but you can stream it to the PC.

It's a bug with the Xbox app on pc. My mic does the same thing when using the Xbox app but works fine when using an app like discord.
