    My xbox comes on but the power light is flashing red

    Please clarify: is it the power block who has a red light, or the console itself that has the red light? If the console has the red lights, how many red lights are there?

    Red ring of death?

    That typically indicates a hardware failure of some kind, something of which is not meant to be serviceable by the user.

    You must contact Microsoft for a repair (1-800-4MY-XBOX). Cost and/or eligibility for a repair might depend on your console model and warranty status.
