    Red light on the Xbox 360 is because of a default or malfunction within the console.

    If you are experiencing problems with your console displaying any red lights, I would recommend looking through the steps listed on

    Sounds like the "RING OF DEATH". Usually caused by overheating on the Xbox 360. Sorry to say... You may want to kiss your console goodbye. I had that happen to me on 2 different 360 consoles. You might want to think about upgrading to an Xbox One S. Most
    games are Backwards-Compatible now. Don't do what I did if you have a game that is not B-C and sell it. Microsoft is trying very hard at keeping us gamers happy and making 360 games B-C. The S is just as good as the X for a lower price. Unless you're a HARDCORE
    gamer and have a 4k T.V. The new consoles have a built in surge protector and better ventilation for those long play days. Give your console space to breath. The hard drive is still good! Although, if you want to get a new Slim get one without Hard Drive and
    place old Hard Drive in. This will not affect the consoles mechanics. Or sell Hard Drive towards a new console and smash the Slim case. Avoid used 360 consoles. There's scams out there with a temporary fix that may work for a little while, but there really
    is no return from the "RING OF DEATH"... No matter what you chose so long as you have a Microsoft account your profile, gamer tag is all saved. Hope this helps. Hate to see someone that made the costly mistakes I made. Best of luck, Amigo.
