    Red light on power button


    When I turn on my xbox 360 slim 4gb, after a few seconds, the power button is with a red dot and nothing appears on the tv. After trying to connect like 10 times it works normally. Does anyone know what can be?

    If you're getting another S console then yes, you can definitely do that :)

    To the best of my knowledge, it sounds like the thunder storm has caused a high voltage charge through the electricals and blown something within the xbox (this could be capacitors, resistors etc...)

    You're likely to get more help if you tell us what console model you have (Elite, slim, original)

    If you have warranty left on the console, you can send it off to Microsoft and they will fix the console for you (you will have to pay extra for it to be fixed if the warranty has run out).

    It sounds very probable that this can be fixed.
