Content and distribution rights are part of international laws that Sony and ms have to follow if german and austria ban certain symbols like waw Nazi symbols no matter what Sony will not allow it

It maybe allowed in UK or us but it wouldn't be allowed in other countries nor does English songs licensed in your games and voice actors for 10countries be allowed in more then10 countries then for spanish they have let's say 100countries. Where they apply
to demographically

Then the spanish games are sold there

Its not a bug

M rated games do have content that may offend people you are in the wrong hobby if you think otherwise

Games have to be adjusted to fit demographics per country or they won't have the ability to sell in those countries

Why sell English content to a region with less then 1% English speakers and pay for the licensing that costs millions

And customize the content to follow the local laws

You guys aren't understanding what international laws and how they apply

What fits in the us and UK won't work in japan and won't sell well and visia versa

 

If you are talking about having us marketplace on psn as long as international laws don't prohibit the game from certain countries Sony can allow you to use us content in another region just like Xbox but you have to provide your own us payment method as
the cards are region locked too unless you use prepaid currency cards

GTA 5 is an great example of where banned games are not allowed in every region

wow you know your stuff. forgive my ignorance its just that until now i could always play my games in english and i never imported a game or used a us/uk account when buying a digital game soo im just a bit confused. whatever, english isn't even the main
problem here.

in the description it said game is available in german (and english i think, doesn't matter if true). the game is french, we only speak german in austria soo there is definetly a major bug going on.

xobitor said his game is in spanish, idk where hes from but my guess is noone in his country speaks spanish. i feel sorry for the people in multilingual countries

 

Hi, For those complaining about licensing laws and whatnot are kinda irrelevant since the dashboard says it can be downloaded in french or english (here in Belgium) but once you download it it's the french version and no way of choosing the english version
- which they stated i could download - so how do i get the legally allowed english version to download instead of the french one.

 

MS told me through their Support Chat system that I had to contact the publisher, which I did. No reply.

I'm also from Belgium and got the French version which is unplayable.

 

Same here, Belgium. Downloaded the game, didn't ask me for a language but it's the french version here. No way to change it. Very annoyed with this, was looking forward to playing it.

normally i would ignore you but the fact that you show up in multiple blogs calling people ignorant i must intervene.

You are very right to the fact that there are barriers set and these differ from zone to zone.

You are on the other hand very wrong claiming these zones to be as small as just one or two countries.

The laws are set up and differ from zones formed on continetal scale.

This would mean i can play in any language i please as long as the game is made for ( take myself for example, i´m from belgium) the european market or if i download a game made available for this market. Example i can buy anywhere in europe any game i like
it will play in the language set available for the game, but if i buy the same game outside of this market for instance in the US it will give an error.

Hope i cleared that up.

To the issue at hand, one that has also fallen upon me aswell, of the french game only being available.

The game is free, free means minimum. Example, no f/ing way they are gonna give us skyrim or fifa right.

But minimum also means any options available to this game, diffent languages for example, they will exclude and make the choice for us. This means when there are two languages available they are gonna make the choice for us rather then giving us the choice
and putting up two games to download.

The choice of language is made by microsoft and they pick the one they believe is fit for that market, in belgium this would leave them the choice of french (probably because the most games are downloaded in french because the Walen are to lazy to go to
the store), why french is also choses for germany i can not concieve.

Now you know why it is in french, i´m sorry i could not be of help. The choice infuriates me to, games should be in english no matter where you live.

In conclusion, ngocphi pepole come here for advice dont belittle them help out or ignore please calling people dumb is no help at all.

Microsoft WE THE BELGIANS want english games.

And F±±± the French.
