Red dot xbox 360 slim 4G

Hi I still have the red dot on my xbox 360 slim 4G power button. My power adaptors light is green so can't b that. When i hold in the sync button and press eject 4 times the light flashes 4 then 1 then 4 then 1 so 4-1-4-1 hope that helps to find problem

There is no official 120gb hard drive for the Slim 4g model Xbox. You have purchased an unauthorized piece of 3rd party hardware. So that could be part of your most recent problems. Also, the Slim Xbox does not get the Red Ring of Death but rather the
Red Dot. If you are seeing something other than the red dot you may wish to check here

One last thing, if you take the hard drive out will the red lights go away?

 

Xbox Slim freezing on startup after June 2012 update

OK I got my Xbox USED a month ago and it worked fine untill one day I turned it on and got stuck at the Xbox logo like it just stayed there but the inside was sitll moveing then after 30 seconds or so it gets a red dot (Xbox 360 slim 4g )

 

Everything I am reading suggests either the power supply or a hardware failure in the console itself

 

error code 0101 can sometimes be caused by a bridged pin on a USB port. i would suggest visually checking to see if there is any damage to any of your ports. sometimes a pin can get bent and when it touches the side of the port it can cause a short. the
console won't start up when it detects this to prevent more damage. you would want to ensure the console was turned off and disconnected from power for safety when looking for this issue.
