Red Dead Redemption won't install

Red Dead Redemption (goty version) won't install. Keep getting the "This game isn't playable here" message. I have already tried the hard restart using the power button on the Xbox One, I still get same message.

It should be working now, it's now rolled out fully.

 

yea just purchased from gamestop regular edition. Says the same message it isn't playable here!! wtf. I'll try later. someone plz post if they get it to work. thanks. I'll do the same.

 

I'm still having the same problem the game seemed to download fine then tried to start it and got the same error message

 

If any of you are still having the same problem I fixed it just go over to the settings in your snap bar and restart your console that way

 

Having the same issue. Tried restarting, no luck. I get the same thing with Fallout New Vegas.

 

confirmed!!! restart your system through side bar settings. Game will then download 7.56gb of a patch. Fixed!

 

I am getting a slight different error, my download goes up to 54% (4.03 GB downloaded) then it rolls back to 4.02 GB downloaded and keeps in loop.

 

Just got it to work. It's really dumb how there's a difference between turning your Xbox off and on and actually hitting the restart button in the settings tab. I hate Xbox one so much....

This error is usually caused by the disc not being readable by the console. Since the Xbox One uses a different type of Disc reader than the Xbox 360, it can be a bit more sensitive to scratches and smudges. You can clean you disc with these steps. Care
for your console and disc games.

You might also want to try to power cycle your console, there may be an update that needs to happen before you can install the game.

I put in Undead Redemption and multiplayer disc and both started downloading. Hope this helps.

 

Mine was displaying the same error, tried doing the system restart as suggested and now it's working fine and installing

 

I just bought the disc of red dead redemption, the standard version, do I need to be connected to the internet in order to install?
