    I'm well aware of the issues many of us are facing with RDR right now but the alert has not been updated in days and I'm curious if we can have an update or at least an estimated time for fix? This is getting absurd at this point.

    As OP stated we're well aware of the service alert for RDR. Today though when I went to try an buy I noticed the price changed to $29.99. I also checked xbox store webpage an it's price there was $49.95. My 2 questions are this "are the folks who encountered
    error out of luck for the RDR sale?" and " why hasnt the service status for not been updated in 72 hrs?*

    Apparently I also missed the $7.49 deal for RDR because there were issues with Xbox. Great. Now I will have to pay $29.99. Thanks Xbox

    Same issue ... I attempted 3x to buy RDR on July 10 when the game was 7.49 EUR and all packs were free, but the Xbox store was unable to handle my purchase as I was getting a "Sorry, your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again later"
    message. Now the game is 29.99 EUR and additional packs are no longer free. Do you really expect me to buy the game 4x the backwards compatibility launch price + extras when I attempted to buy it in due time and the purchasing issue clearly lied on your side
    or will you reinstate the sales price to make up for it?

    Since the 9th, I haven't been able to purchase Red Dead Redemption through the Xbox Store on console or PC. Finally, Xbox, on the 10th added a service alert for it on the status page. There's been a service alert there for it since as many of us are still
    unable to purchase it.

    Now supposedly, the sale is over as well as the $7.49 price is back to $29.99 for RDR. Absolutely ridiculous.

    absolutely disgusted I have made numerous attempts to purchase red dead redemption and was trying to purchase since the launch of backward compatibility on Xbox one but finally managed to get to the page to buy it and now states its £24.99 after it was originally
    just under £7 for me being an gold member. am I the only 1 feel frustrated and angry right now?

    I had exactly the same problem from the Swiss Xbox Store. I was unable to buy it 7.25 SFr last sunday because of a technical problem (I tried from my Xbox One, from my computer and from my smartphone and I had the same problem). Xbox Support tell me today
    I had to buy it 29 SFr now. I'm disgusted too ...

    As of September 13, Red Dead Online has now been removed from Xbox Game Pass. Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode is downloadable content for Red Dead Online and was not included with Game Pass. Therefore, you would have had to purchase it in order to access it.

    For our users that have purchased Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode and are no longer able to access it, you will have to purchase Red Dead Online as it is a requirement.

    Currently you are able to purchase Red Dead Online, Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode & Red Dead Redemption 2 (which bundles both the story mode and online)

    HELP NEEDED ASAP

    Are you sure that you purchased the full Red Dead Redemption 2 and not just the Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode. If you purchased the Story Mode, then you need to own Red Dead Online in order to play it. Story Mode is just DLC for Red Dead Online and cannot be played or installed without Red Dead Online.

    Did you purchase the full game Red Dead Redemption 2 or did you purchase Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode, which is an add-on for Red Dead Online? If you purchased Story Mode, then you need to purchase Red Dead Online to keep using the add-on. Story Mode is not a stand alone game. Red Dead Online used to be on Game Pass but was removed back in September.

    Firstly, the retail full version of Red Dead Redemption 2 on disc already includes Red Dead Online so unless you have transitioned to a digital only console, you wouldn't need to purchase it again.
    Secondly, which digital version did you purchase? There is the full game Red Dead Redemption 2. There is also Red Dead Online, which is obviously the online part. And then there is Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode, which is just a DLC for Red Dead Online (owning Red Dead Online is required) which allows you to play the single player campaign.
    Please check your purchase history to see which one you have purchased.
