Red Dead Redemption on X-Box One

hi there,

I read somewhere that Red Dead Redemption was playable on Xbox One and even the Walmart clerk told me so... So I bought the two CD pack and now the console is giving me a message stating that the game cannot be played ? :-(

new to xbox asking about Backward Compatibility

good evening im thinking about getting an xbox one since there is no hope for red dead redemption 2 to be released on PC which is my main gaming platform for the last 6 years

i owned a PlayStation before and never tried x box but im getting one now for two reasons

1- its 180$ cheaper than the ps pro in my country

2- i want to play red dead Red Dead Redemption 1 i never finished the game on the ps3

now my question is i dont know whats the equivalent of PS PLUS on the x box but when i get one can i change the region ? to a store that have the game because im from bahrain and when i checked the game is not available

Red Dead Redemption is definitely backward compatible. Have you installed the game to your Xbox One yet? Have you tried launching the game with both discs? If that still doesn't work, what is the exact error message/code that you get when you try
to launch the game?

Do you have any other Xbox 360 backward compatible games that you can try in your console? Or a DVD maybe? (Not a Blu-Ray!)
