Red Dead Redemption: EVERYTHING WAS GOLD!!!

I tried posting this on the Xbox RDR forum, but there's no one there, so I'm posting it again here.

I started a new game the other day, got to the first autosave...

...And my gun turned gold. Then I get a message saying "you've discovered the Deadly Assassin outfit." However, I've never purchased the Golden Guns pack or the Deadly Assassin outfit.

I think it's because I hooked up a used hard drive to the Xbox to move some games. When I first plugged it in, the hard drive still had the profiles and game saves from the previous owner, one of which was for Red Dead Redemption. I deleted the file
without looking at the contents, but I assume it had both of these DLC packs installed on it. It seems these are also on-disc DLC packs, so just having the hard drive connected to the console unlocked the outfit and golden guns, without any way to turn the
golden guns off.

Is there any way to fix this? Because I'm not playing through the game with golden guns. It's silly.

Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption should be added for deals with gold.

[/quote]Red Dead Redemption is the spiritual successor to 2004's Red Dead Revolver. To say Red Dead Revolver is part 1 and Red Dead Redemption is part 2, is rhetoric. Otherwise it would have been titled Red Dead Revolver 2

 

The Golden Guns are also unlockable in multiplayer. You can read more about as well as how to turn it off at this link.

OK, apparently the last update made the first two guns gold for everyone without adding it to the options menu, like it does if you buy the DLC, so now you have to hold LB, RB, B, Y, and left on the D-pad every time you load a save.

This the worst update of all time.
