Red Dead Redemption doesn’t work

Hello, I downloaded the game, and when i am playing the intro, pressing LT (left trigger) does nothing. When you goto the barn and fight the guy, it says you need to press LT.

i checked online for walk throughs, i thought i was stuck, but in the walk through a conversational dialog appears. I dont see that when i press LEft Trigger.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

If that doesn't work and you have access to a different controller give that a try.

Another thing that you can try is uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console. Hmm so from what I can tell and see in the video link you had provided (removed due to personal social network) the game is telling you the press and hold LT but when you do so there is no reaction is that
correct? Is your LT working in other games? This could very well be a bug in the game since it was very recently released if that is the case I recommend

Red Dead Redemption 2 Support to see if they have any information regarding the issue. Also you may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game as a final step to see if that helps.

Just had the same thing happen in the same place. Eventually the the LT worked but the next scene which follows I can't get it to work and stopped playing. Will try the reset as suggested. Seems other players have this problem, some don't, but so far it
sounds like there are a lot of issues like this with this game.

 

Found a fix for Elite controller. Turn off trigger stops on rear of controller. People with other controllers may have same problem it could be due to controller settings, not sure.

 

Oh my! This worked! Definitely a bug in the game where they dont handle the LT correctly elite controller, we need to inform them about this bug.
