RED DEAD REDEMPTION: Backwards Compatibility: Game just sits and Spins when loading Multiplayer

Hello There:

I have a Friend of mine who wants to play Red Dead Redemption. He has a Copy he used for his XBOX 360.

The problem is, that he can play the campaign mode just fine, but when attempting to play using backward compatibility on Xbox One, he goes to the Multiplayer option, and all it does is to sit and LOAD, and all it does is spin around and then eventually,
you have to quit the game - There was some speculation that the RDR disc is damaged, scratched, or unusable, but He told me today that there seems to be a lot of players that play this game, and there may be an overload of the servers, or that there may be
a problem with the Backwards Compatibility of the xbox 360 game itself.

One time, when he did get in to the game, he was playing for a while, and then he was riding his horse, and then there was a glitch, and the next thing you know, the character's hat is the only thing visible, as the rest of him was invisible.

Is there a problem with this game, and if so, is there any plan to fix it?

We do know it's coming. It accidentally worked for a while last month while it was in testing.

Is your friend able to post on the forums to receive assistance? That way we can work directly with them on what steps they've tried. Steps we would have them try is uninstalling/reinstalling Red Dead Redemption, clearing local Xbox 360 storage, or troubleshooting
their network as this only occurs when attempting to play multiplayer.

Since there are a few different issues that can be at play, I suggest having your friend post a new thread detailing the exact issue they're experiencing so we can better assist.

OK Mr. Beep:

I have had my friend check his network - It is working fine - ports are open and working well, no problems,

I have had him clear his cache, and before that it would send alerts that he had ben disconnected from multiplayer. it will play music, and he can hear others talking, and change pictures, but the gun barrel keeps spinning. We have been waiting over 20
minutes for it to connect, but it will not connect.

We have also cleared the saved games and restarted - we STILL cant connect - Is there a problem with Multiplayer?? Have they discontinued the multiplayer, or is there another problem? It seems that there is a problem with BOTH systems with RDR - I am going
to take his game and test it, and see what happens on MY systems.

Please advise?

Thanks for giving that a go! Is your friend able to try a quick re-download of their Xbox 360 profile while within the game? To download their profile have them press both the Menu and View button on the controller while in-game and select 'Download Profile'
while in the Xbox 360 guide.
