Red dead redemption 2 online takes off Internet connection

Rockstar will undoubtedly integrate social components into Red Dead Redemption 2’s single-player story which need an online connection to function. However, players should be able to at least play the story campaign
even if they’re not connected to the internet. An active internet connection will naturally be required for downloading the game’s digital version and for playing Red Dead Online.

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time, this does sound like a odd position. Do you mind if I ask, have you recently received any type of communication violation?

The reason I ask is, the only time I've seen something like this happen is when a person has been "booted" or banned from a certain game for whatever reason.

only person in that thread that said they found a solution said they switched their router. I have seen weird stuff like that before but it normally knocks everything in the house offline. Maybe see if there is some new firmware for your router? Sorry I'm
really at a loss on this one.

If you downloaded Red Dead Redemption 2 digitally. There might have been some small corruption to some of the files during download. First uninstall the game.

Power Cycle your system while resetting your modem. Reinstall the game and see if it works for you. This may not be the solution but you should definitely start with this and see if it doesnt solve your problems.
