If your having trouble with Red Dead 2 loading and then kicking you back to the xbox home screen this may help.

Unlink your rockstar social club account to your xbox account.

Go to socialclub.rockstargames.com

Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC Problem

I checked this for my and my brothers account and that is the result. Looks a little bit strange or? On My Account the Ultimate Edition is listed twice. I think this is not correct and on my brothers account ultimate edition is missing. Pre-Order Bonus is
correct, because i have it bought and my brother not.

Revisiting Red Dead Redemption because I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo ready for Red Dead Redemption 2. It's time to get my posse back on the trail.

 

A good suggestion, also, performing a hard reset like this help at times. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power
cord back in and restart the console.

Usually if a game is kicking you out back to the home screen you should first try a full power cycle or restart on your console first. I recommend you first try the steps listed here:

“My Xbox One game won’t start or freezes during gameplay” before removing yourself from the Rockstar community.

I tried and did everything called xbox and did evrry step then i did this and it worked. I unlinked my social club and xbox account. Now i can play.

 

I tried every step. Called xbox everyday since it happened. They were great unfortunately they could not resolve my issue. I thought i was done. I could not play on my digital download or hard copy. Only when i figured out that unlinking my social club
and xbox account did it work.
