red dead redemption 1 on xbox one x wont start

hi guys,

i purchased rdr 1 to play it with high res on a xbox one x. but the dvd is not recognized by my xbox one x.

all other games are working find. dvd drive is fine.

the cd has no scratches. it is clean.

on a real xbox 360 game is working.

i have all xbox one updates up and running.

i tried the troubleshoot on microsoft site: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/disc-error#763d1d3501d5463b9d8c3ab80144e7f4

still not working. what to do now ? do i have to exchange the cd ? if yes. where can i exchange it?

Apparently Red dead has shown up in the preview store !!

Hi there,

I see you have tried some troubleshooting steps yourself so far, have you tried installing the game offline? Here's a LINK
explaining it more in depth. In regards to your other question about exchanging the CD you would need to contact the seller you bought it from to see about getting a replacement.

When you say "all other games", are these other games also DVD games, or are they BluRay disc games?

If you don't have any other Xbox 360 games, try a DVD movie disc.

If BluRay based discs work, but not DVD, then the red wavelength laser of the disc drive is broken while the blue wavelength laser still works.
