    Red Dead 2 - Endless Loading on Xbox Series X


    I recently Network transferred by Red Dead 2 from xbox one to xbox series x (no disc). When trying to load the game on series x, it is just showing endless loading. Anyone else having this issue?

    Hey Manuela, sure thing. It was the Red Dead Redemption 2 deluxe edition for the Xbox one, not series x or s.

    1. Yes. Since the game is backwards compatible it'll work on a Series X.

    2. Not all backwards compatible games have an enhanced update, but the Red Dead Redemption does.

    Yes, that actually could explain it. If you bought Red Dead Redemption as part of a bundle (especially a bundle with Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox One or Series X|S), there’s a chance the original RDR was only included as a backward-compatible title for newer consoles, not as a standalone Xbox 360 license.

    You can double-check some information here:

    Go to > https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

    • Look for the bundle and click into the purchase.

    • See if it lists Red Dead Redemption (Xbox 360) specifically, or just says “Playable on Xbox One/Series X|S.”

    If it doesn’t list the 360 version, you’ll need to contact support and ask if your bundle included the Xbox 360 license.
