Red Dead 2 Buying Accessibility

I'd definitely go on or around to your account on Microsoft's website and go over to your billing and shipping and check and compare any charges that may have been made or may not have been made and then if something is amiss contact support. If I remember
correctly gift cards redeemed show up somewhere on there, don't quote me on that as I don't use cards very often if not at all. And I'm fairly certain you don't actually need gold to make purchases...you may have gone over to the spring sale tab in the store
and that's why it asked you to get gold. Some sales are for Gold members only...definitely get online and check with support though.

As of September 13, Red Dead Online has now been removed from Xbox Game Pass. Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode is downloadable content for Red Dead Online and was not included with Game Pass. Therefore, you would have had to purchase it in order to access it.

For our users that have purchased Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode and are no longer able to access it, you will have to purchase Red Dead Online as it is a requirement.

Currently you are able to purchase Red Dead Online, Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode & Red Dead Redemption 2 (which bundles both the story mode and online)

As stated, Red Dead Online has been removed from Xbox Game Pass as of September 13th. If you have purchased Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode and are no longer able to access it, you will have to purchase Red Dead Online.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Just a friendly reminder though that the Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode is just an add-on or DLC addition to Red Dead Redemption 2 which means that it requires the base game, you will be needing to buy the base game that is sold separately.

It's not the base game that is needed. It is Red Dead Online. When you state that the base game is needed it sounds like people need to buy Red Dead Redemption 2 but that is not the case. Red Dead Redemption 2 contains both the single player story and the online portion. Red Dead Redemption 2 is not the same as Red Dead Online. They have 2 different names. Story Mode is DLC for Red Dead Online. It is not DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2 as you have said.

Red dead redepmtion 2 is another example. Whoever buys the normal physical edition does not have access to the content of the special edition nor to that of the ultimate edition.
