    my credit card was used oct 31 2015 to open an xbox live gold account for another person who has since moved away and i have no contact info or known location for this individual. I've been stuck paying a recurring bill ever since and since i don't have the login info i can't cancel the subscription. I want my credit card number removed from the account, if they want to continue the service they can pay for it themselves. how do i remove my credit card from this xbox live account?

    You can try contacting support and speak to billing, but without any information for the account, they may not be able to do anything. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us Other than that, contact the credit card company to see if they can stop payment on it.

    There isn't an actual number, because you will need to request a call back here Xbox Support, or chat to an online agent.

    is there an actual contact number for microsoft? the number listed for microsoft on the reciept charged to my credit card resulted in a message from verizon saying this number is no longer in service...

    Go into your account settings and click on 'services and subscriptions" then turn off auto renewal so you stop getting billed automatically.
