For some reason my game's save data has switched profiles since my save data in setting is now saying unknown profile. Does anyone know what happened to it?

  2. Why can't I save my 360 game save files on my Xbox One hard drive?

When it prompts me to "Select a Device" for local save data it only gives me the option to save on "Cloud Saved Games". I'd rather save them on my local Xbox One hard drive as I only have 2GB for cloud saves. I've looked for a solution but have only found
topics relating to recovering 360 save data from 360s onto Xbox Ones via cloud storage. Is there a way to save local data onto my hard drive rather than use cloud storage?

  3. Recovering saves

Hey, so I had a save on an old profile in a 360. Later, we switched to a one, and that profile got deleted. Here's the thing, we want a save from that profile, and we checked and that save is still on the hard drive. Problem is, it says we can't switch what
profile it is connected to. Also, this profile was never connected to Xbox live.

    Recovering Save data

    Hi there,

You could try to re-download your profile & see if that 'wakes it up.'

You will need your email address & password associated with the account in order to download it, so make sure you know that, if you have forgotten it, you can do a retrieval here:

Forgot the email address you use to log in to your Xbox? Learn how to find your Xbox login.

First of all, let's check if your profile is on your Xbox & that it's not corrupt:

    Go to:

    • Settings/System Settings/Storage/
choose the drive you save to and go to "Profiles." See if your profile is there, if it is & it has a yellow triangle with a white exclamation mark, it is corrupt, so you
need to delete it off anyway. Choose to "Delete Profile Only."

    • Once you've done that, go to the hard drive again and instead of actually selecting it, press "Y" & choose "Clear System Cache."
This essentially just cleans out any unwanted files, much like clearing your browser history on your computer. At this point, I recommend powering your Xbox off for no less than 10 seconds. Switch it back on...

    • Now press the silver Guide button & choose the option "Download Profile."
This is where you'll be needing that email & password. Hopefully once you've done that, your info should appear.

If it hasn't, please come back & we'll see what else we can do Recovering Save data :)

    Recovering save data.

    Hey Buckst3r

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with recovering some of your save data.

When you have no save data on your console, this would indicate that you uninstalled the game at some point in time, was playing this on another console or offline, or removed your account. Performing any of these actions would remove your save data from
your console, or force you to sync your data in order to continue.

This process is all done automatically and does not require any input on your end. You can read more on this on the

Xbox One cloud game saves: FAQ
    .

I would have you verify that you ar enot experincing any issues with connecting to Xbox Live [the internet] as this can also cause problems with syncing save data.

Do you receive any error code when attempting to sync your data? If you are, I would encourage that you take a look at the article that covers

errors messages when syncing your save data
    .

Give this a try and let us know if this works for you!

Sorry, but without backups, there is no way to recover save data.

    mincraft deleted map recovery

As Black Dragon 00 said, there is no way to recover deleted save data from your Xbox or Xbox LIVE currently. All save data for games, including Minecraft, is stored locally (unless you store it to Cloud which is on an Xbox LIVE server) and deleted save data
cannot be recovered. Once saves are deleted, you can't redownload them.

    -

Saves can't be redownloaded from Download History/Purchase History because saves are created locally by the game. Sorry bud.

I’m trying to play on my survival world but it keeps saying it’s corrupted.

    Access Application Data\.minecraft\saves. ...

    1. Make a copy of the corrupted world folder & all files & folders inside, and rename it however you please. ...
    2. Start Minecraft and create a new world, then save and close Minecraft. ...
    3. Go back to Application Data\. ...
    4. Cut the files (but not the folders) from the new saved world folder.
