Recovering lost email and password

I need help recovering my nephews account on xbox live, his hard drive needed to be formatted and all data was lost? Any help will be appreciated.

I am 21 years old. Why in gods name does it say I need parental permission?

Ask mum for the password, then disable it? If you've lost it, try recovering it from the email account with any secret question.

 

Lost password and email

I had my Xbox One set where I did not have to log in each time and last week when I was getting ready to play a game, an update showed up and then suddenly I was booted out and it asked me to log in. It has been so long since I actually typed the password
in that I cannot remember it.

When I tried to reset the password, it says it is sending information to an email account that has not been in use for a long time and I do not have the password for it either.

I spent several hours trying to get it reset and was on the support chat room only to be accused by the person I was chatting with of trying to get into an account that might not be mine and then he cut me off after almost an hour of trying to get the password
reset.

He sent me codes several times and then I was asked for personal information that I provided and then was asked for recent passwords!! If I knew them, I wouldn't be chatting with support about it.

Now I am sitting here with a $350 machine that is utterly useless.

Can I just reset the machine to its factory settings and start all over?

 

You would need to contact support. As long as you can verify you are the owner of the account, they can get you the email. Then you would need to reset the password. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or
