    Recovering an Xbox account


    Hello,

    My friend bought a used Xbox and it came with someone else Xbox Live Account. He knows the only the username and email associated with the account, not either the email password or account password. Is there any way that he could obtain this information,
    because in certain games(in this specific case, Fortnite) he needs to make a separate account to connect to his Xbox account in order to add friends in-game. Is their anyway that he can get his account back(so to speak)?

    Nope. Since your friend would not be able to verify he is the owner of the account, they wouldn't give him any information.

    Are you able to recover this account to any other Xbox? Are you able to recover other accounts to your Xbox?

    NOTICE the current profile is not allowed to play on xbox live.

    The profile may not have Xbox LIVE or the membership needs to be renewed. Also if the account may have been recovered onto a different Xbox, you need to recover it back to yours. I had the same problem with my account after recovering my account onto my
    friend's Xbox then forgot to recover it back onto mine and was wondering what was wrong. Fixed it by recovering it back onto mine. Hope this helps with your issue.

    you need to recover the account to the master account's console to be added

    then he can recover it back to his console if it is a xbox live account



    if it is not a live account it has to be promoted to a live account by joining xbox live

    Hello again, the point is, your email account and your Xbox account are one, they are the same thing.

    So if you want to recover your Xbox account, you'll need to recover your account email.
