    Recovering an account from xbox 360


    I am desperately trying to recover an account. Back in 2017 my nephew was on my xbox when I guess he locked me out of my account. My avatar was there but grayed out and I couldn't log into it. All my saves were deleted from the xbox storage as well, at least what it looked like. I gave up and stopped using it. Eventually it got the red ring and I gave it away.

    This account is under the email I would have used for the account but there's no data on here. I had xbox live so that should show up in purchase history but there's nothing. The only thing that's right is the name. I don't know if there's a way to recover the account or what. I would loveto though.

    Delete the Gamertag from the Xbox 360 Console. Only delete the Gamertag. Recover the Gamertag. You will need the Windows Live ID and Password to Recover that account.

    Hello, yes this is the case, you first need to add all of the accounts on your own XBOX 360 (the XBOX 360 where the Family membership is purchased) by recovering the gamertags to the XBOX 360. Then add them to the family account, after that process is complete
    the other family members are free to recover their accounts back to their own XBOX 360's.

    Don't have another 360 (or access to one) to do this with. I removed the HDD from the system and tried to recover to a flash drive which ended up with the same results. I've tried deleting the account from the 360 to recover it, same results.

    The Xbox 360s allowed the ability for console owners to have local accounts on them. Local accounts were just that - accounts with no email/Microsoft account attached to it. Unfortunately if a local account is deleted from an Xbox 360, and no backup was
    saved to another memory unit (hard drive, or USB device) there is no way to recover it, or any of the items tied to it.

    My account was attacked by a hacker, but managed to recover and now my password no longer recognized Standing on Xbox 360, only my email address from microsoft acknowledges it.
